Where To Enjoy Your Caribbean Holidays This Year
By Nicky Pilkington
With the advent of lower cost flights, Caribbean have been put firmly within reach of ordinary people and are no longer strictly the domain of the extremely rich and famous.

The Caribbean is a collection of over 7,000 islands, cays and reefs which lays Southeast of North America.

The most common place to holiday in the Caribbean are the Bahamas (Population of approx 310,000), which is located to the east of Florida. The holidaying areas of the Bahamas are stunningly beautiful with gorgeous shores, palm trees and wonderful seas - it is the stereotypical idea of a tropical paradise. The climate of the Bahamas may be sub-tropical to tropical depending upon the time of the year. Obviously with the autumn and summer months being the hottest, this can also be a dangerous time to holiday in the Bahamas as hurricanes can often lash the shores making it too dangerous to be outside at all. Also on a political end, The Bahamas, unlike other island countries close to America isn't a war-torn or dangerous place to visit fortunately.

A holiday in the Bahamas can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and there are a variety of things you are able to do. Whether you want to simply laze around on the tropical beaches all day long, swim in the sea, go boating, shopping, exploring, fishing and much more, the Bahamas can provide, and provide well. Sight seeing is a huge part of most peoples to the Bahamas, and believe me, there is much to see, and there are many excellent tour guides who will be more than happy to show you as much of the Bahamas as possible.

Boat trips in the seas surrounding the Bahamas will also give you the opportunity to get close to the rich sea life. The Bahamas are known to have the clearest waters in the world and have visibility of up to 60 metres. People aren't the only visitors to the Bahamas - such boat trips can get you close to some of the worlds most amazing sea mammals such as whales and dolphins. On a holiday to the Bahamas you also have the opportunity to go scuba diving and exploring the underwater reefs and the amazingly colourful and unique fish and sea creates.

Of course, there is more to the Caribbean than

Space training for cruise passengers
Crystal Cruises excursions include trip to the cosmonaut training centre at Russia's Star City...
Get flushed at Haven
Haven Holiday parks have a new water ride...
Yotel to open in New York

the Bahamas, but if you are considering going on a holiday to the Caribbean, particularly for the first time, you will be guaranteed the most amazing holiday of your life by going to the Bahamas.
