I've been playing paintball since Nov '08. I started playing with a Singaporean team called the Red Sevens competitively in '09 in the MPOC (Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit) in Division 3 for two legs. In '10 we bumped up to Division 2, in which the format was a Millennium-styled X-ball (Race-to-2, 15 bps ramping). We started doing really well getting a bunch of 1sts, 2nds and 4ths (comparatively to '09).

My sole role for the Red Sevens was to play the snake. I think it's the most fun bunker to play and I love to get in there and move ASAP to the opponents end to shoot people out. If anyone is interested, I'll be arriving in BC on the 9th of Sept and would like to have a flavour for the local scene ASAP! Add me on facebook at Ivan Rickard Liow.

Thanks!]]>

Paintball Guns
By Michael Malega
I would like to cover every aspect of this topic. In order to keep things short I have only included the major topics detailed as good as possible.

For the person who loves to play the right tools can make all of the difference between winning the game and losing. As you will often find yourself pitted against other players with similar to better guns you need to make sure that you have a reliable model of the guns in your hands. These days you can find a large number of guns in the market. Some of these guns are more in demand than the other varieties. This is not only because of their looks, though this can help if you are playing a scenario game where strategy and tactics are used. In this case having guns that are camouflaged will help to hide your movements as you creep up behind and around your opposing teams.

The other things that you should look for in guns are that of their firing abilities. Some of the guns are automatic firing and semi-automatic. In many of these guns the triggers are very sensitive therefore you will need to practice your aiming and firing before you go out into the field.

When you are considering buying new guns see what the length of the gun barrel is like. You should be able to get precision aiming when you look down the barrel of the guns. These are of course just a few of the items that you will need to

consider when you are looking for guns that match your needs.

Serious players will look for other more upgraded versions of their existing guns. These guns will have lots of new and improved features added to them. Some of the features could be automatic fire control, laser eye control and electronic aiming.

The other types of guns that you can buy are the cheap guns. With these guns you have an endless opportunity to customize your guns for optimum performance. You can change the stock barrel so that you get more of rapid firing ability. As these guns are inexpensive you can improve their capabilities as your skill level rises.

Of course these options are just the tip of the iceberg where paintballs are concerned. You can look for guns that simulate the realistic look of actual weapons. Many of these guns are military guns. From these you have a choice of lighting fast firing capability combined with sniper action.

As you can see there are many types of guns that you can buy. While you may not yet be very experienced in you have the choice of upgrading your guns as time passes. This means that you have an endless supply of guns to choose from.

And if becomes your thing, then you’ll definitely want to have the option of upgrading your guns at some point. There’s no better way to trounce your opponent than with your enhanced guns .
