Online Poker Versus Live Poker By Marcus Vretling Pistelli This article will tell you why you should play Online instead of Live if your goal is to make as much money as possible playing Poker.
When online came, many players in the beginning were very skeptical against online poker, because they thought it wasn’t real poker. Well, just after a short period of time you would see these live pros changes to online poker. I will give you eight good reasons for playing online instead of live poker.
1. Convenience Maybe you don’t live near a casino or a club so you can’t get games whenever you want. You can play online whenever you want too. You will also be able to play wherever you want too, maybe in your swimming pool, or on your balcony. It's just your imagination that set the limits. All you need is a laptop with a internet connection.
2. Less rake If you compare online rake to live rake you will find a big difference there too. In some of the lower stake games in casinos they take more than $6 in rake!
Online you won’t find any room charging their players with more than $3 in rake, that’s the cap for almost every room.
3. Hands per hour If you have played live I guess you have experienced how slow these games could be sometimes. You will play an average of 20-30 hands per hour in Live games. In Online games you usually play an average of 70-100 hands per hour, and by playing online you will increase your hourly rate.
4. Multi tabling This is another good reason for start playing online. You have already read about the big different in hands per hour, and by playing online you will have the opportunity to play up to 20 tables at a time and just for fun we could compare how many more hands you play per hour then live if you played 6 tables. 6*((70+100)/2)-((20+30)/2) = 485 more hands per hour. Well that difference says it all; it’s a lot more profitable playing online.
5. Game selection & Table selection Have you experienced the problems with finding tables for the game you want to play in live poker? Well this won’t be a problem at all online, if you chose one of the bigger online networks you will find any type of games open 24/7. You will also have the opportunity to choose which opponents you want to play against. This is a problem in live because it’s maybe just one table open for the game or stake you want to play in, and in that game it’s just typical grinders or with other words a non profitable table. Online you

won’t have problems choosing tables with a lot of fishes in, just look at the average pot and players per flop percentage that every room offers. Those numbers will tell you a lot of how much action there is on the table.
6. Micro & low limit You won’t find any micro and low limit games in casinos, but If you do find a micro/low limit table be prepared for the stack getting killed by the rake.
7. Dealers In live you will sometimes see dealers that exposes cards, shuffles bad and those who are very slow, that won’t happen in online poker. The cards get well shuffled directly and dealt very fast.
8. Tools There are a whole bunch of tools you can use on your computer such as Tracker, Office and much more. These tools will help you taking your game to the next level.
So if you haven't tried out online I advise you to try it out as soon as possible. I’m certain that you will like it. Article Source: http://www.articles-galore.com
